I went around 4 PM and on a Thursday. The waitress was awesome and provided excellent service. Home fries could have been cooked at a higher temperature or browned or crispy. Seems like the cook just cut up a baked potato and threw it on the grill for a minute or two. Sunny side up eggs were perfect as was the bacon and sausage. French toast with powdered sugar was absolutely amazing. Due to the time and day of the week there was only about 4 other tables with people. Lots of parking and space. There is a long ramp down to the entrance which is nice for wheelchairs to be able to enter. All and all I'd go there again and try something different just to see.
One our family's favorite restaurants! We love the staff. They're literally like family. Portions are HUGE and the prices are low. The food never disappoints.
I haven't been here since my early 20's because I didn't like the food. Now it looks different inside. I didn't see any cakes and pies they use to have. But the breakfast was good. Everything was prepared perfectly. Everyone knows that if you mess up my food. I don't have anything nice to say!! But each of the two time my husband and I have come it was yummy. They even have mimosas, a nice size glass too!! Our waitress Kaitlyn did forget our silverware, my side of meat , and our mimosas. But maybe she's new. The owner is a nice man. He came over to see if we are ok . I recommend this restaurant for breakfast at least because we didn't have dinner yet. It's huge inside and very laid back.
We stopped in for lunch. We were welcomed and seated promptly. The diner is large and accessible. Our waitress was attentive and our food arrived fast and hot. Super fresh.
Best breakfast we have had from a food establishment in a very long time. Don’t hesitate in trying their food. You won’t regret it! I had the French toast, eggs over medium and bacon. The french toast was fluffy and just delicious point blank. They have whipped butter which really added to the flavor of the French toast too. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the bacon was exactly what you should expect. Crispy and flavorful. I tried a bit of my husband’s home fries and they were very good. My husband had the hungry man’s meal and he devoured every bit that he could. He also said it’s everything he could have hoped for in a breakfast. My mother had the cream chip beef, home fries and poached eggs. I didn’t get a picture of her meal but I wish I had. I don’t even like cream chip beef but it look delicious. She really enjoyed it. She ate down the entire thing. My son had the wings which also came with a salad. They too looked and smelled absolutely scrumptious. I didn’t get a picture of his wings because he started right in on them. And he said they were so good. Everything we all had was just absolutely satisfying and filling. They’re a little pricey but so so so worth it. Who ever their cook is needs a raise immediately. Excellent food. We got delivery and it was still fresh and hot on arrival. So kudos the the establishment and our dasher.
Mrs. K. hadn’t really encountered a classic Northeast-style diner before, so this outing was a bit of a cultural introduction. She was visibly impressed—maybe even overwhelmed—by the sprawling menu, which read like a novella of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. Despite the dizzying array of choices, she played it safe and went with a plain waffle. It arrived golden and crisp, though she spent more time marveling at the laminated menu than the food itself. I went for the Country Omelet, which the menu claimed was made with two eggs, but I’d wager they snuck in a third. It was generously stuffed with onions, tomato, ham, sausage, and bacon—essentially a breakfast sampler folded into one fluffy parcel. The toast came on the side, along with a mountain of home fries that could’ve fed a small scout troop. It was hearty, satisfying, and just chaotic enough to feel authentic. The diner wasn’t particularly busy, so the lapses in service were a bit puzzling. Coffee refills were slow, and the toast arrived cold as evidenced by the unmelted butter still spread on top. Still, we weren’t in a rush, and the main dishes hit the spot. It wasn’t perfect, but it was warm, filling, and gave Mrs. K. a taste of the regional diner experience. Quirks and all.
Excellent menu and retro vibes inside. Classic diner to the T. Great food, came out super hot. Seriously, what's not to like? It's Dove Diner time!
